The most positive humorous person on the planet. Mike was the quintessential family man that never disguised his strong affection to his family. Incessantly bragging how he scored above his abilities when he married Christine. His over achieving daughters were ammunition for stories of understated gloat.
Intelligent, ambitious, creative, athletic, etc. are among of the accolades that are easily bestowed on Mike. However, his humour, and ability to find the positive perspective, are likely the attributes that immediately come to mind when reflecting on him. Mike had the ability to make everyone believe he was their best friend. One individual and a special bond with so many.
Disheartened he is gone, however, we are truly we are among the fortunate who had the opportunity to befriend Mike and have reaped the reward and gift of his companionship.
Everyday Mike made the world a brighter and happier place for us all. Yes, the sun will shine again tomorrow and to infinity. But the sun will forever shine a litter dimmer than it would otherwise for the loss of Mike.
